NORTH CAROLINA'S STORY: Pat James started her own baseball league with games played in the Durham Bulls stadium. “The best part of this league is when kids come up to me and tell me, time and time again, how playing baseball saved their lives, that if they hadn’t been playing ball, they’d be in jail somewhere. I have one son, and God has blessed me with 120 more.”
