NEVADA'S STORY: Ken McFate had the joy and challenge of coaching Melinda Mallette, a girl who wanted to play baseball in the early 1980s. In response to Melinda’s courage, a new softball team formed, who won the Nevada state tournament in 2011 and 2012.
